    Current Equine Event Schedule

    Thursday, October 24th

    12:00 PMCheck-In // Admissions Welcome Center
    Pick up your event folder that includes event schedule, school excuse, name tag, and information about opportunities at Asbury. 
    Drive to Equine Center Bayless Arena // Equine Center (744 Shanty Hill Road)
    If you have your own vehicle, please drive out to the Equine Center Bayless Arena after you check-in. Note: The Equine Center is about a mile off campus and a map will be provided in your folder. If you came alone or do not have your own vehicle, a shuttle will be leaving the Admissions Office intermittently. 
    1:00 PMWelcome // Equine Center Bayless Arena
    Hear a welcome from Admissions, our Director of Equine Lizzie Guthrie, LMFT, and other faculty about the heart of the different equine programs. 
    1:30 PMActivities at Farm // Equine Center
    Explore the Equine Center through faculty and student led seminars, presentations, and more. Students will be directing to sessions at the farm.
    5:15 PMDinner // Equine Center Bayless Arena
    Join us for dinner around the campfire with current faculty, staff, and students.
    6:00 PMEquine Club Demonstrations and Student Testimonies // Equine Center Bayless Arena
    Watch live demonstrations from current students of vaulting, drill team, and western performance. Students will also be giving their testimonies.
    7:00 PMConnect with Overnight Host and Dismiss for Night
    If you are a student staying on campus overnight, please drive back to connect with your overnight host at the Glide Crawford Residence Hall lobby (building #11 on your campus map). The address is 1 Macklem Drive. A shuttle will be available for those who do not have their own transportation. All other guests are dismissed for the night. We will see you tomorrow!

    Friday, October 25th

    Hot breakfast is served until 8am. There is also continental breakfast including bagels, cereal, yogurt, fruit, and coffee served until 9:00am.

    Financial Aid Seminar for Parents // Kinlaw Library Board Room
    Parents, join us for for a Financial Aid session led by our Director of Financial Aid, Leslie Kurtz. There will be time at the end for Q&A.
    Campus Tour: Meet in the Admissions Welcome Center to get a full tour of campus given by a current student.

    10:00 AMChapel // Hughes Auditorium
    Attend chapel with our current student body. Asbury students are required to attend chapel three days each week, and the speakers come from a variety of places, denominations and backgrounds. Today's Chapel speaker is Rev. Greg Haseloff, Associate Dean of Spiritual Life and University Pastor. Look for Admissions Ambassadors inside the auditorium to show you where to sit.

    Join us in the Dining Hall for lunch and hear from Harold Rainwater, Equine Ambassador and founder of the Asbury Equine Programs, as he shares about the history and mission of the program.

    10:00 PM (Optional)Worship Him at Midnight (WHAM) // Hughes Auditorium
    “Worship Him at Midnight,” more commonly known as WHAM, is an interactive time of song worship and prayer, as well as a message that is presented to the student body. All prospective students and their families are welcome to attend and join our community for this service.
