    Current Media Communication & Theatre Weekend Schedule

    Please note: This schedule is tentative, as we are keeping track of changes of production and available offerings of the event.  

    Thursday, April 11th

     7:30 - 8:30 PM(Optional) Sounds of Stage and Screen Concert // Hughes Auditorium
    Presented by Asbury University's student ensembles: Orchestra, Women's Choir, Men's Glee Club, Handbell Choir, Chorale and Concert Band. Admission is free. 

    Friday, April 12th

    8:00 - 8:30 AMCheck- In // Miller Center for Communication Arts
    Check in and pick up your event folder with name lanyard, a school excuse card, and other campus information, and then grab a snack and get to know fellow students.

    Everyone comes together for an overview of the event schedule with Asbury’s Visit Coordinator.

    “Cinematic Multi-cam in Live Production: The Technology, the Creative, and the Challenges” led by Matthew Giblin, Director of Technology at AbelCine.
    Campus Tour // Admissions Office (Corbitt Hall)
    Meet in the Admissions Office to receive a full tour of campus given by a current student.
    10:00 AMChapel // Hughes Auditorium
    Attend chapel with our current student body. Chapel occurs three days a week, and the speakers come from a variety of places, denominations and backgrounds. It is the foundation of the Faith, Learning, & Experience (FLEX) program, for which all students must fulfill a credit requirement. Today's Chapel is Engaging Culture Chapel: “Impacting Culture with Creativity and Faith” led by Highbridge Film Festival Guest Judge, Katie Hooten. Look for Admissions Ambassadors inside the auditorium to show you where to sit.

    Meet in the Admissions Office for a full residence hall tour guided by a current student. We will have tours for men's and women's residence hall separately.

    Grab lunch in the Dining Hall and then head to the Gray Room to visit with other students interested in the Media Communication and Theatre programs at Asbury.

    This session is not limited to theatre majors – all prospective students are welcome.
    10:00 - 11:15 AM(Parents) Can my Student Survive, Thrive, and Make a Living in the Arts? // Miller 309
    Hear from Asbury professors from the School of Communication Arts as they discuss how Asbury equips its students for life after graduation.
    1:00 PMBehind-the-Scenes Miller Tour // Meet in Miller Center Front Lobby
    Interested in studying Media Communication? Then you need a tour of our impressive Miller Center for Communication Arts building by Dr. Jim Owens, Dean of the School of Communication Arts.
    2:00 PM(Optional) Luce Physical Activities Center Tour // Meet in the Luce Center Lobby
    Those meeting with athletic coaches may have the chance to see the Luce Center during their coach meeting, but the Luce is not restricted to athletes. All students are welcome to use the Luce weight room, pool, indoor track, racquetball courts, climbing wall, and more! Come see the space and the opportunities available.
    Rest and take time to get dressed up and ready for the Highbridge Film Festival tonight!
    5:00 PM Dinner // Dining Hall 
    If you are staying for dinner, you are welcome to enjoy a relaxed meal with other guests or current students in our Dining Hall.
    7:00 PMHighbridge Film Festival // Hughes Auditorium
    Presented by Asbury University School of Communication Arts. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Ticket required for admission (two tickets/student will be provided at Check-In). Formal attire encouraged.
    Awards Show & After Party // Miller Center for Communication Arts
