    Media Communication Weekend Schedule (TENTATIVE)

    Please note: This schedule is tentative, as we are keeping track of changes of production and available offerings of the event.  

    Friday, April 16th

    8:00 - 8:30 AMRegistration // Student Center
     Check in and pick up your event folder with meal tickets, your nametag, a school excuse card, and other campus information, and then grab a snack.
    8:30 - 8:45 AMOrientation // Student Center
     Everyone comes together for an overview of the event schedule with Asbury’s Visit Coordinator.

    Led by an industry leader and guest of the university. 
     
    Campus Tour // Admissions Office (Corbitt Hall)
    Meet in the Admissions Office to receive a full tour of campus given by a current student.
    10:00 AMChapel // Hughes Auditorium
     Attend chapel with our current student body. Asbury students are required to attend chapel three days each week, and the speakers come from a variety of places, denominations, and backgrounds. Look for Admissions Ambassadors inside the auditorium to show you where to sit.

     Grab lunch in the Cafeteria and then head to the Gray Room to visit with other students interested in the Media Communication program at Asbury.

    Saturday, April 17th 

    9:00 AMBreakfast // Cafeteria Gray Room
     Enjoy a continental breakfast including bagels, pastries, cereal, yogurt, fruit, juice, and coffee. You will also hear from a guest speaker about spiritual life and community at Asbury.
    10:00 AMStudent Panel // Cafeteria Gray Room
     Hear from some of our current students about life at Asbury. You will have time to ask questions of the panel, as well.
    11:00 AMBehind-the-Scenes Miller Tour // Meet in Miller Center Front Lobby
     Interested in studying Media Communication? Then you need a tour of our impressive Miller Center for Communication Arts building by Dr. Jim Owens, Dean of the School of Communication Arts.
    12:00 PMLunch // Cafeteria
     Feel free to sit anywhere in the Cafeteria and enjoy a relaxed lunch while talking to other guests or current students.
    1:15 PMLuce Physical Activities Center Tour // Meet on Luce Center Front Steps
     Those meeting with athletic coaches may have the chance to see the Luce Center during their coach meeting, but the Luce is not restricted to athletes. All students are welcome to use the Luce weight room, pool, indoor track, racquetball courts, climbing wall, and more! Come see the space and the opportunities available.
      
     
    Rest and take time to get dressed up and ready for the Highbridge Film Festival tonight!
     
    5:00 PM Dinner // Cafeteria
     If you are staying for dinner, you are welcome to enjoy a relaxed meal with other guests or current students in our Cafeteria.
    7:00 PMHighbridge Film Festival // Hughes Auditorium
     Presented by Asbury University School of Communication Arts. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Ticket required for admission (two tickets/student will be provided at Registration). Formal attire encouraged.
     Awards Show & Block Party// James Street Lot
    Award show on the outdoor stage at 8:45 p.m.Food trucks, live music, giveaways, DJ + street dance.

    ADMISSION TO THE AWARDS SHOW & BLOCK PARTY IS INCLUDED IN THE FESTIVAL PASS.
