    Salvation Army Visit Weekend Schedule (TENTATIVE)

    Please note: This schedule is subject to change. You will receive a final version in your visit folder at Check-in.

    Thursday, January 23rd

    8:00 - 8:30 PMRegistration // Miller Communication Arts Lobby
     Check in and pick up your event folder with meal tickets, your name tag, a school excuse card, and other information, and then grab a snack upstairs.
    8:30 - 9:00 PMOrientation // Miller Communication Arts Screening Room
     In this group session of both parents & students, you will hear from Asbury’s Visit Coordinator and talk through the event schedule, hear a current Asbury student’s story about how he chose Asbury, watch a video about campus life, and hear from some Salvation Army leadership.
    9:00 - 10:00 PMMeet your Host // SASF Center
     Salvationists meet at the SASF Center to meet host/hostess
    (Snacks will be provided)

    Friday, January 24th

    7:45 AMHot Breakfast Service // Cafeteria 
     Hot breakfast is served until 8am. There is also continental breakfast including bagels, cereal, yogurt, fruit, and coffee served until 9:30am. Asbury Admissions Staff will be joining you for breakfast.
    8:00 AMBreakfast Speaker // Cafeteria Gray Room
     Enjoy breakfast in the Gray Room while hearing from our event speaker.
    9:00 AMClass Options
     
    Choose to attend a class based on your potential future major or minor. All professors on the provided list are expecting guests.
    10:00 AMChapel // Hughes Auditorium
     Attend chapel with our current student body. Asbury students are required to attend chapel three days each week, and the speakers come from a variety of places, denominations and backgrounds. Look for Admissions Ambassadors inside the auditorium to show you where to sit.
    11:00 AMFinancial Aid Seminar // Kinlaw Library Board Room
     This is led by our Director of Financial Aid, Ron Anderson, who will share about scholarship, grant, and federal aid opportunities—some even specific to Salvationists. After his presentation, you are welcome to ask any financial aid questions you may have or follow up with an Admissions Counselor during the Admissions Open House.
    12:00 PMLunch with your Admissions Counselor // Cafeteria Gray Room
     Students, this is your chance to get to know your Admissions Counselor and other students from around where you live. Please sit at tables by region.
    1:00 PMChoose Your Own Adventure, pt. 1
     
    First Generation College Student Seminar: Are you the first in your family to be considering college? Come ask questions of our Director of Center for Academic Excellence, Dr. Corrie Merricks, and learn what it takes to be successful at the college level.
     
    Attend Class: Choose to attend a class based on your potential future major or minor. All professors on the provided list are expecting guests.
     
    Campus Tour: Meet in the Admissions Office (in the Hager Administration Building) to get a full tour of campus given by a current student.

    Admissions Open House: Stop by the Admissions Office (Hager Administration Building) to sign up for a meeting with your Admissions Counselor, fill out an application for admission to Asbury, or just to eat some of our afternoon snacks.
     
    Departmental Open Houses: Typical Open Houses Music and Equine.
    3:00 PMChoose Your Own Asbury Adventure, pt. 3
     
    Residence Hall Tours: These are optional tours for anyone who wants to see inside of the residence halls. There will be separate tours for both men’s and women’s residence halls.
     
    Admissions Open House: Stop by the Admissions Office (Hager Administration Building) to sign up for a meeting with your Admissions Counselor, fill out an application for admission to Asbury, or just to eat some of our afternoon snacks.
    4:00 PM Hiccup Milkshakes // Student Center
     This is a free hour, so enjoy some fellowship with friendships and a free milkshake from the Hiccup Café.
    5:00 PM Dinner // Cafeteria
     Enjoy dinner with your overnight host in the Cafeteria.

     Games and snacks

    Saturday, January 25th

     Enjoy brunch with other guests.

     Do you play an instrument? We encourage you to bring it! If you need to borrow an instrument, let Professor Nathan Miller know.

     Led by student cabinet--an opportunity for students to question Salvationist students regarding their Asbury experience and exploring possible majors.
