    Current Scholarship Competition Schedule

    Please note: This schedule is subject to change. You will receive a final version in your visit folder at check-in, as well as a personalized schedule that will include your interview time and any requested appointments.
     

    Thursday

    7:00 - 7:30 PMCheck In // Shaw CLC Lobby
    Pick up your folder including meal tickets, school excuse, name tag, and information about opportunities at Asbury.
    7:30 - 7:50 PM(Students) Meet your Counselors // Shaw CLC, various classrooms
    Students, this is your chance to get to know your Admissions Counselor and other students from your region, as well as get tips about tomorrow's interview.
    (Parents) Meet with Admissions // Jameson Auditorium
    In this session parents will hear from our VP of Enrollment and Marketing, Jennifer McChord, concerning academics, spiritual life, campus life, and the Admissions process.
    8:00 - 8:45 PMAcademic Reception // Shaw Luce Auditorium
    Join us for a reception and get to know other scholarship competitors, current students, faculty, and staff. Additionally, you will hear from current Asbury students about how and why they chose Asbury, how Asbury supports you in your journey, and an overview of the event schedule with Asbury’s Visit Coordinator. Light hors d'oeuvres will be served.
    9:00 PMDismiss for Night // Hang out with overnight hosts
    Prospective students will meet up with their overnight hosts and head to the residence halls for the night. If you are staying off campus, we will see you in the morning!

    Friday

    8:00 AMHot Breakfast Service (for those who stayed overnight) // Dining Hall
    Hot breakfast is served until 8:30am. There is also continental breakfast including bagels, cereal, yogurt, fruit, and coffee served until 9:30am.

    10:00 AMChapel // Hughes Auditorium
    Attend chapel with our current student body.  Chapel occurs three days a week, and the speakers come from a variety of places, denominations and backgrounds. It is the foundation of the Faith, Learning, & Experience (FLEX) program, for which all students must fulfill a credit requirement. Look for Admissions Ambassadors inside the auditorium to show you where to sit.

    Our Chapel speaker on January 19th will be Aaron Calhoun, Lead Pastor at Adventure Church in Tallahassee, FL.

    Our Chapel speaker on February 2nd will be Dr. Kathy Koch, Founder & President of Celebrate Kids, Inc.

    If you would like to meet with an Admissions Counselor about any process or financial aid questions, come to the front desk at the Admissions Welcome Center to make an appointment for a brief meeting.
    Residence Hall Tours // Meet in Admissions Office
    These are optional tours for anyone who wants to see inside of the residence halls. There will be separate tours for both men’s and women’s residence halls.
    *Free Time Options
    Some great options for free time throughout the day include stopping by the Rader Student Center to grab coffee from the HICCUP café or to check out the Eagle Outlet, or spending time in the Miller Center for Communication Arts or the Luce Physical Activities Center. Parents, there will be a designated parent lounge from 9am-3pm on Friday located in the Kinlaw Library Boardroom (3rd floor). You are invited to use that space for work, rest, and conversation. Complimentary coffee is provided.
